Intex Systems is celebrating another new contract win as it has been appointed to a package of works for main contractor Banner and Kirkland’s latest development in Manchester.

In a contract worth £2.5m the Intex team will bring their expertise in installing interior partitions and ceilings in this new-build student accommodation building.

Commercial director Callum Connor said: “This is another great student accommodation project for us, something we’re really familiar with.

“Student expectations of the places they live while at university have increased dramatically and developers are rightly creating high-specification accommodation all over the country.

“It’s another Manchester project for us alongside working on flagship developments in Salford Quays and Media City.”

Working for end client Unite, the new-build student accommodation will eventually be home to more than 600 students of the city’s universities. The tall building will stand at more than 30 storeys high and will feature a top floor study room from which students can admire views over the city centre, a games room, study lounge and laundry.

The contract adds to a number of large wins for Intex in 2019, including our largest contract yet, a £5m award to work on Manchester Waters – a flagship regeneration development at Salford Quays.
