In another project delivered on time, the Intex team has wrapped up our construction work on the flagship St Vincent’s Place job for Bowmer and Kirkland.

Centrally located just 10 minutes from both Sheffield universities, the development will soon be home to 600 students ready for the 2018/19 academic year. A combination of new-build and conversion, the heart of the complex is a converted Victorian chapel containing all of the communal areas.

The Intex Systems team joined the job last autumn to carry out interior partition and ceilings work, as well as fire regulation-compliant cladding to the outside of the new building. It’s a contract worth £1.8m which has taken us around 10 months to deliver.

Intex Systems Commercial Director Callum Connor said: “Our expert team has done a great job for Bowmer and Kirkland on this prestigious student accommodation development in our neighbouring city of Sheffield.

“Sheffield has a great reputation for the standard of its accommodation. Sheffield University has been voted in the top five for Best Student Accommodation in the UK since 2013, and St Vincent’s Place will make a brilliant contribution to this stock of quality accommodation.”
