The Intex team will return to the prestigious MediaCityUK in Manchester this month to start work on a package of works for a new 280-apartment scheme being led by long-term construction client, Bowmer & Kirkland.
Intex has been chosen for their expertise to deliver high quality interior partitions and ceilings for the Plot D3 apartment scheme, which is made up of two 15-storey towers in the heart of MediaCityUK, home to the likes of the BBC and ITV.
The new £3m contract comes after the Intex team have delivered a number of successful projects for Bowmer & Kirkland, including student accommodation in both Sheffield and Manchester.
Intex have delivered packages of work for other developments in MediaCityUK, including external repairs and building maintenance to the iconic building The Lowry to make sure it was looking its best ahead of its 20th anniversary year, and for the Tower II residential development, as well as developments across Manchester including the Downtown Manchester riverside apartments.
“We’re proud to be working with the Bowmer & Kirkland team once again. It is testament to the great partnership we’ve developed over the last few years, having successfully delivered key projects together.
“Intex has weathered the storm fairly well during the pandemic and I am proud of how the team have quickly adapted to new ways of working.
“2021 has got off to a strong start and we’re now looking forward to returning to Manchester to contribute towards MediaCityUK’s next phase of expansion and creating new homes for people to live in this vibrant heart of Salford Quays.”
Work will start in April 2021 on the 70-week programme.
