Work is getting underway on creating the long-awaited Eight Building in Liverpool, with steel framing and cladding experts Intex Systems starting on site in July 2020.
The Intex team will steel framing system and dry walls plus fit aluminium soffits, fascias and feature cladding panels to the exterior of the new apartment building.
Working for main contractor Legacie Construction, Intex will create the fabric of the building, which will contain 120 modern apartments, over 39 weeks.
Speaking about the £1.7m contract, Intex director Callum Connor said: “It’s great to be back in Liverpool working on this cracking building close to the city’s Chinatown.
“We’re looking forward to working with Legacie Construction on the project to complete this high-profile and long-awaited development.”
The project is one of a number Intex is getting underway in July 2020, with other projects getting started in York, Wakefield, Rotherham and Sheffield.
