A £5m contract win created a brilliant start to 2019 for Intex Systems as the firm announced it will work on the prestigious Manchester Waters development in Salford Quays for long-term client Vermont Construction.
Providing both structural framing system (SFS) expertise along with interior work on the partitions and ceilings, the firm will start work in July 2019 and expects to be on site for four years as the iconic development takes shape.
Commercial director Callum Connor said: “This is an amazing start to the year for Intex and continues our trend of year-on-year growth.
“Our team at head office in Rotherham is growing to support our site-based teams who are working up and down the country on some of our most recognisable buildings.
“We have delivered a number of projects across Media City and Salford Quays over the past six years and it’s great to be part of a new phase of regeneration in the thriving city of Manchester.” The contract win adds to the projects Intex Systems has underway in Manchester, which also include construction works on Media City Tower II, Downtown Manchester and and the new Hampton by Hilton in the city, along with maintenance work on cladding for The Lowry.
