With a diversity of specialisms from right across the construction industry, what brings us together is our determination to get the job done right.

George Hawkridge

Site Manager

George visits our project sites and ensures that operatives have everything they need to deliver projects.

He has high-standards, which means we can always count on him to push our safety, quality and environmental values. In the past, George was a fixer, a handyman who is now very handy with managing teams.

At the weekend, George tries to find time for all of his hobbies. He loves fishing, ice hockey, football, golf, and taking his family to the cinema.

Michal Leopold

Project Manager

Michal (or Leo, as everyone calls him) is one of our expert project managers, supervising the workforce on site installations.

He works closely with fellow project manager Mark Taylor, our operations manager Chris Winstanley and site manager Wayne Winstanley. His technical knowledge and experience makes him the ideal person to manage SFS installations and drylining for commercial fit-outs.

Outside of work, he loves working on his project cars, going out motorbiking and spending time with his family.

Shane McKay

Project Manager

You will often find Shane liaising with our clients and keeping them up to date on projects.

As one of our experienced project managers, he focuses on coordinating work materials to make sure we hit our program dates. Shane’s expertise lies in drylining and SFS installations for new build accommodations. He often works closely with quantity surveyor Oliver Dove and operations director Chris Winstanley.

In his spare time, he watches football, meets his friends and visits a good curry house.

Shannon Cant

Admin & Finance Assistant

Working closely with office manager Jodie Wilks, Shannon keeps the wheels of the Intex Systems machine turning.

She is always there to pick up the phone, reply to email enquiries and keep those vital spreadsheets up to date. She speaks to site managers and ensures that the materials they need for projects are ordered and paid up.

In her spare time, she loves to go out to eat, drink a good cocktail and travel to new and exciting places.

Mark Taylor

Project Manager

Mark ensures that our operatives carry out work to a high standard, finish it on time and stay within budget.

He is particularly experienced in managing residential projects like student accommodation buildings and apartment blocks. His background as a plasterer means that he has a keen eye for detail. He works hard to build positive working relationships with contractors and clients.

Outside of work, he spends time with his family and puts in the hours at the gym.

Jodie Wilks

Office Manager

Jodie is responsible for the day-to-day running of Intex System’s accounts and payroll department.

She ensures that our project costs are up to date, our accounting transactions are accurate and our teams are paid. She works closely with our commercial director Callum Connor and our admin & finance assistant Shannon Cant.

We can rely on her for everything from VAT to CIS, especially as she is AAT Level 4 qualified finance professional with almost a decade and half of experience.

Joe Ash

Facades Manager

Joe is our cladding specialist and is our go-to expert for any project with rainscreen cladding. He takes a key part in the whole process and can manage the building, refurbishment and maintenance of these kinds of projects.

He works closely with the commercial team and on site with the installation teams, where you will find him focusing on estimations, procurement and/or project management.

At the weekend, he always makes time for his family, friends, sports and a good plate of scran.

Callum Connor

Commercial Director

Top man Callum’s main responsibilities include overseeing the commercial aspects of the business and the strategic planning of company finances.

He is in the unique position of working closely with every member of the Intex Systems team. An experienced quantity surveyor, you will often find Callum working on complex forecasts, calculations and negotiations to ensure the organisation is working effectively. He works with specialists on residential projects, student accommodation sites, hotels and offices.

Outside of work, Callum loves two things - his family and cars.

Chris Winstanley

Operations Manager

Chris is responsible for implementing effective processes and practices across Intex Systems.

He is a natural problem solver and you will often find him improving performance, procuring resources, securing compliance and ensuring our clients are happy with the progress of our projects.

Intex relies on his motivational skills, his negotiation skills and his talents for understanding our client’s needs.

When he is not at work Chris spends time with his family and goes out to support his team, Sheffield United.

Samuel Garabedov

Site Manager

Samuel’s main responsibilities are for managing project progress, performing safety checks and advising operatives.

He makes sure that our work complies with building regulations and health and safety legislation. The types of projects he works on include residential apartments, hospitals and schools. Intex Systems relies on Samuel’s decision-making skills, his ability to communicate with operators and his knowledge of effective problem-solving.

His years of experience as a dry liner means he knows how to manage and work on construction sites.

Wayne Winstanley

Site Manager

Before working in the construction industry, Wayne served in the British Army and was awarded two service medals. Intex Systems relies on his leadership skills and his dedication to ensuring that projects are successfully delivered.

He is responsible for ensuring sites are safe for team members, that clients are up to speed and for planning programs. Wayne is qualified in bricklaying, first aid, site safety and asbestos awareness.

In his spare time, he likes to relax with the family at their caravan.

Oliver Dove

Quantity Surveyor

Oliver is responsible for tracking design changes, managing budgets, valuing completed work and arranging payments.

Oliver has a flair for creative problem solving, strong financial management skills and a methodical approach to project management. His skills have helped Intex Systems to successfully deliver big projects including drywall works, cladding packages and even a Victorian mill refurbishment project.

At the weekends, he likes to meet up with friends, and keep fit by going to the gym and playing football.

Shauna Gilleece

Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Shauna assists our commercial director Callum Connor with a lot of the fundamental groundwork needed for our projects.

Her day-to-day responsibilities include managing take-offs, assessing the accuracy of price books, liaising with site managers and preparing applications for payments. Her role relies on her strong communication skills, a knack for numeracy and a logical approach to managing projects.

In her spare time, she likes to go out with friends and keep fit at the gym.
